Concept: For this main floor remodel in Thornhill, our clients sought a refreshed and elevated interior for their detached home. Brought on from the very start, we thoughtfully reimagined the layout to enhance functionality, flow, and connection throughout the main floor. By removing the dividing walls between the living room and kitchen, we created an expansive and open kitchen that serves as the heart of the home.
Embracing a warm, earthy palette accented with soft mauve and light blues, the new kitchen balances elegance with everyday practicality. Designed around the clients’ lifestyle, it features double wall ovens, an induction cooktop, integrated column fridge and freezer units, an under-counter wine fridge, and a microwave drawer. Custom cabinetry in layered earthy tones, enriched with subtle wood accents, brings dimension and warmth to the space. Stone countertops with striking blue veining continue seamlessly into the backsplash, paired with a custom angled hood fan and a curved stone island detail for added sculptural interest. The island, illuminated by a multi-ring chandelier, anchors the kitchen with softness and sophistication. Throughout the kitchen and adjoining living areas, custom navy faucets, airy light-blue drapery, and marble fireplace accents create cohesion and an inviting, elevated atmosphere. A cozy coffee nook connects the kitchen and dining room, featuring matchstick tile, bronze glass cabinet doors, and brass framing for an added touch of charm and glamour. The powder room was reimagined with a moody mauve palette and an integrated stone sink with purple veining, complemented by a bespoke burgundy faucet, textured tiles, and sculptural sconces, bringing warmth, richness, and personality to this intimate space.
