MAPLE RESIDENCE
Location: Maple, Ontario
Concept: Our client purchased a home with tremendous potential, but it required a full transformation to bring their vision to life. Entrusted with the project, we undertook a complete remodel, stripping the space back to its core and rebuilding it with a fresh, modern perspective.
We began with the kitchen, its outdated layout was reimagined to enhance both functionality and visual impact. The result is a sleek, contemporary space anchored by a 10-foot island that flows seamlessly into the open-concept living area. A refined mix of black and white oak, paired with minimalist flat-slab cabinetry, creates a clean, modern aesthetic, further elevated by subtle white accents in the faucet and appliance handles.
In the living room, flow and openness were improved by removing a structural wall, creating an uninterrupted connection throughout the main floor. A custom black stone fireplace becomes the feature element, flanked by full-height cabinetry, wrapped in textured grasscloth wallpaper and accented with a refined brass sconce. Across the entire level, crisp off-white walls contrast beautifully with deep grey, silky sheers, setting a contemporary backdrop for intentionally curated furnishings and artwork. Upstairs, the primary bedroom balances coziness with modern sophistication. A partially tiled headboard wall with fluted wood detailing introduces texture and warmth, while integrated led lighting subtly highlights the materials and enriches the moody, inviting atmosphere. This sensibility continues into the ensuite, where deep green tiles and brushed nickel fixtures create a serene, spa-like retreat that perfectly complements the bedroom’s aesthetic.
